Lot Essay

Accompanied by the original Patek Philippe orange leather fitted presentation box and an Extract from the Patek Philippe Archives confirming the date of manufacture of this watch with yellow gold bracelet, tiger's eye and lapis lazuli as 1974 and its subsequent sale on March 26th of the following year.

This unusual watch shows how inventive Patek Philippe designs became during the 1970s and how some of the organic shapes popular during the early part of the decade affected the look of the company and its production.
