With nickel-finished lever movement, 17 jewels, mono-metallic compensation balance, silvered matte dial with applied faceted lozenge-form and disc numerals, circular case with ridged bezel and band surmounted by a spray of round-cut diamonds, all held aloft by the hands of the dancer figure dressed in a skirt with rope-twist waist and rope-twist bangles at the wrists and ankles, case, dial and movement signed

The design of this unusual brooch watch may likely derive from the dance stylings of Josephine Baker. The costume and accompaniments closely resemble what she utilized in her stage performances for such routines as her famed "Danse de Sauvage".
