Blancpain's Masterpiece Collection, No. 1 is a celebration of horology. Jehan-Jacques Blancpain founded the firm in 1735 with the intent of raising timekeeping to an art. Today, the company remains dedicated to its founder's philosophy and has never made a quartz movement watch. This series of wristwatches includes: an ultra-thin, moonphase calendar, perpetual calendar, split seconds chronograph, tourbillon and minute repeater. These fine watches are exceptional examples of the technical skill and craftsmanship of complicated timepieces.
Our research indicates wristwatches for these collections were executed in yellow and pink gold as well as the present rare platinum and pink gold watches. A limited edition of 99 sets in platinum were also produced.
