FIRST EDITION. Bulkeley's and Cummins' narrative is one of the main accounts of the wreck of the Wager, a ship in Lord Anson's fleet, off the southern coast of Chile after passing through the Straits of Magellan. Deserting their captain and several others, the gunner, John Bulkeley, and the carpenter, John Cummins led the mutinous crew to a safe arrival in Rio de Janeiro.
