As Slatkes has observed, the title Bartsch first gave to this image seems incorrect: the man and woman on both sides seem to be conversing with a charlatan-like figure in between them. The woman on the right may be the same as that seen in B.24 (see lot 22). Schnackenburg dates this plate to circa 1647-52, Slatkes dates it to circa 1647.
