Lot Essay

One of Scotland's leading contemporary artists, Callum Innes was nominated for the Turner Prize in 1995. He has subsequently won numerous awards and held solo and group exhibitions in cities ranging from Edinburgh, London, Milan, Paris, Los Angeles and Sydney. The two paintings in this sale offer a rare opportunity to acquire examples of his early, more figurative work.
