SAFAVID IRAN, LATE 17TH OR EARLY 18TH CENTURY
Of rounded form with short vertical foot, the white interior with a slightly raised central boss painted with black stars in a medallion with radiating light cobalt-blue arms divided by further stars, the cavetto with reciprocal pierced zigzag motifs between two thin bands of single dots, the rim with groups of four black dashes, repaired break to rim
6¾in. (17.2cm.) diam.
