Comprising two Timurid and five Safavid circular and oval seals in various stones, some with writing divided into panels, others with clear inscriptions, two with chips to the edges

Lot Essay

The legible inscriptions read as follows:
1. The seal of Mirak ibn Nur, his name followed by a Persian couplet.
2. A Persian couplet including the name of the bearer as Khusraw and the date as either 1[0]77 (1666-7AD) or [1]177 (1763-4AD).
3. Invocations to God with the bearer's name as Muhammad.
4. An Arabic saying including the word mu'min (believer) which may be the bearer's name.
5. An Arabic saying.
6. The name of the daughter of a Sultan, 15th century.
7. A Shi'i couplet, 15th century.
