Manuscript on cream paper, 201ff. each with 18ll. of elegant black naskh within text boxes with gold and blue margins with black rule, gold roundels with red, green and blue highlights between verses, sura headings in gold outlined with black on green, blue or red panels with pink illuminated borders, suras also marked in floral cornerpieces on the upper outer corner of each page, illuminated marginal medallions marking the juz, marginal commentary in black shikasteh on gold ground within elaborate cartouches of varying sizes and forms, heavily illuminated opening bifolium, a few folios loose in binding but basically excellent condition, original floral lacquer binding with central medallion, lacquer doublures with central gold floral spray on black ground
