Similar bosses are to be found on an unpublished door in the Museum of Islamic Art, Qatar, whose interlace design and carving can clearly be dated to the mid 16th century. Careful inspection of those bosses shows that the backgrounds of the gilt copper mounts have traces of dark green or blue enamel.
