Of cylindrical form on delicate short splayed foot with separate lid which tapers to a small domed finial, the body with repeated decoration in blue, white, green and red enamels, of arched panels containing the word 'Istanbul' in fine calligraphy within blue and white borders with floral and Ottoman 'crescent and star' roundels, each arch separated by an engraved silver panel, the lid with red, green and blue enamels in a regular pattern, the interior gilt, slight loss of enamel
