Lot Essay

This may be by the same hand as the drawing tentatively attributed to Asselijn in the Albertina, Vienna, M. Bisanz-Prakken, Die Landschaft im Jahrhundert Rembrandts, Niederländische Zeichnungen des 17. Jahrhunderts aus der Graphischen Sammlung Albertina, exhibition catalogue, Vienna, 1993, pp. 168-9, no. 90). An alternative attribution to Adriaen van der Cabel (1631-1705) has been suggested.
