This photograph was originally given to Werner Zryd by Robert Frank. It was included in Frank's 1952 book, Black, White and Things, which Zryd designed. Black, White and Things is split into the three categories suggested by the title. Frank hand-made with original prints three copies of the book at the time. It was subsequently published in a paperback edition in 1994, in conjunction with the exhibition, Robert Frank: Moving Out at the National Gallery of Art, Washington, D.C.
