Dear Dr. Prinz, We will no longer delay sending you the accompanying set of chessmen and board which I bought with me from London. We had preposed that they should have found their way to you after we had left Weston, but tho' our plans are changed, and we do not now say, good bye - we must still thank you for all your past consideration and kindess, and hope you will accept this little offering from my sister and myself, as a sincere, tho' very inadequate expression of our grateful regard, I remain, very truly yours F.C.
