The kings and queens representing the Turkish Ottomans versus European monarchs, the bishops as fous, the knights as horses' heads, the rooks as turrets, the pawns as soldiers, one side stained
The king -- 3½in. (9cm.) high; the pawn -- 2½in. (6.4cm.) high
