A QAJAR COCO-DE-MER KASHKUL, IRAN, 19TH CENTURY
Carved to top with two sufi saints either side of a tree with serpent entwined and fish either side, and an animal-headed fish, the sides carved with inscription cartouches above a band of tri-lobed motifs set with turquoise stones, the bottom with a lobed cartouche with scrolling arabesque to interior, suspension rings to either side with attached chain - 12 1/4in. (31cm.) long
