Manuscript on paper, 304ff. with 15ll. of black naskh, gold rosettes between verses, text block outlined with gold, sura headings in white riqa' on illuminated panels, illuminated marginal medallions, opening illuminated bifolium, final folio with illuminated colophon signed by Sayyid Hasan al-Wasafi pupil of Hafez al-Sa'yid al-Tab'ai and dated 1245, original European-style tan morocco binding with gold tooled spandrels, probably Levantine, green textile doublures with gold floral meander- folio 15.2 x 9.9 cm. matching tan morocco slip case, plus carved wooden Qur'an stand, probably Syria, mid 20th century - 20.2 cm. high
