For similar see the Worshipful Company Collection Nos. 140 fig 20c, illustrated again in the supplementary catalogue No. 212, p.38. The catalogue attributes this style of thumbpiece to York makers.
A very similar flagon sold in the Holt sale, Phillips of Chester October 1998 lot 35 was by the maker Leonard Terry of York.
