the complete set of 147 linocuts, in- and hors-texte, title page, text and justification, on Arches watermark Martin Fabiani, signed in black ink on the justification, copy XVI (one of 20 hors commerce copies apart from the edition of 230, the first 30 of which were printed on Japon ancien and issued with an additional suite of 12 plates), the full sheets, loose (as issued), pinpoint foxing in places, offsetting on some text sheets and on the reverse of the linocuts, the title page slightly soiled, otherwise in good condition, within the original blue printed paper wrappers with the title and dolphins in white, in a cream-colored chemise and slipcase with the title in red on the cloth-covered spine (the slipcase slightly worn). 350 x 270 mm.
