Lot Essay

Marianna Rinuccini was the daughter of the collector Marchese Pietro Francesco Rinuccini of Florence. In 1855 she married Marchese Giorgio Trivulzio. The collection of the Trivulzio family forms the basis of the eponymous library in Milan.
