The ribbon-tied medallion back, padded arms and seat covered in patterned cream and pale green cut-silk material, the waved seat rail with rosettes to the corners, on stop-fluted turned tapering legs terminating in toupie feet, stamped, twice 'E. MEUNIER'

Lot Essay

Etienne Meunier, member of the Meunier dynasty of Parisian ébénistes, flourished during the first half of the 18th Century, focusing predominantly on Louis XV seats. He also manufactured Louis XVI style seats in the last few years of his life.
