The rectangular portor marble top above a mahogany-lined frieze drawer and a fall-front mounted with classically-draped figures at a fountain and enclosing a green leather and velvet-lined writing-surface and an arcaded interior with ten drawers, the frieze fitted with a mahogany-lined drawer, with shaped legs terminating in paw feet, above a mirrored-back and concave-fronted base, with remains of an old paper label inscribed 'W.&A. CHAPM(AN?)/20/26 NORTH ST(REET?)/555'
