HARRIS, 63, King William Street, London Bridge. 18..'; the celestial globe with label printed 'HARRIS'S New & Improved Celestial Globe on which the Precession of the Stars is carefully laid down to the year 1838 BY W. HARRIS, GLOBE MAKER To His Majesty, No. 77, Cornhill London. 1840', the celestial globe cracked and the gores updated to 1840, the mahogany stand with veneered horizon ring and moulded supports, on a turned tapering shaft and outswept legs with ring-turned tapering feet, joined by a circular moulded roundel with papered compass rose, repaired break to one foot, one roundel lacking glass, both compasses lacking needles, the horizon rings probably originally papered and now veneered
