LATE 18TH CENTURY, THE LEGS EARLY 20TH CENTURY
The rectangular twin-flap top crossbanded in mahogany, the central sliding panel inlaid with an ellipse and with chess board on the reverse, above a leather-lined removable backgammon board, one end enclosing a rising compartment of pigeon-holes above three mahogany-lined drawers, one end with two simulated drawers the other with one later mahogany-lined drawer, on square tapering legs with satinwood collars on brass caps and castors, the rising mechanism lacking
