"Massive fruit liberally laced with toasty oak and traces of secondary aromas yet the flavors are powerful and young offering excellent minerality and outstanding sève. Richly textured on the palate with a finish that goes on and on. A first rate effort that does an excellent job of maintaining a sense of harmony and fine acid/fruit balance. Still young and it should improve for several more years and drink well for another half a decade after that." BH, October 1, 2001
