A 17TH CENTURY CONTINENTAL SILVER BEAKER
MAKER'S MARK ONLY, A MONOGRAM, APPARENTLY T, REVERSED N CONJOINED, POSSIBLY NORTH GERMAN
Engraved around rim "G.B.D M.S.D 1643" and further prick-dot engraved "ALS:MMD", the sides set with two 17th century German coins, one from Jülich-Cleve-Berg, the other from Brandenburg-Ansbach dated 1626, 3½ in. high (9 cm.), 5 oz.
