Cal. 27-70 Q nickel-finished lever movement stamped with the Geneva seal, 28 jewels, Gyromax balance, free sprung regulator, the silvered matte dial with applied gold Arabic numerals, two windows for day and month, three subsidiary dials indicating constant seconds combined with 24 hour display, 30 minutes register combined with leap year indicator and date combined with phases of the moon, the circular water-resistant-type case with stepped bezel and downturned fluted lugs, glazed screw back, split seconds chronograph mechanism operated through two round chronograph buttons in the band and through the crown, 18K gold Patek Philippe deployant clasp, case, dial and movement signed

Lot Essay

Accompanied by Patek Philippe Certificate of Origin and Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch in 1998 and its subsequent sale on 6 August 1998. Furthermore delivered with plain 18K gold screw back no. 4'037'677, 18K gold, wooden and ruby-set setting pin, original fitted wooden presentation box and outer packaging.

Manufacture of reference 5004 was launched in 1995. The model is illustrated in Patek Philippe Wristwatches by Martin Huber & Alan Banbery, second edition, p. 312.
