With gilt-finished fully jewelled lever movement, minute repeating on two hammers onto two gongs, bimetallic compensation balance, the white enamel dial with Roman numerals, three subsidiary dials indicating day, date and constant seconds, in plain circular case with snap on back, repeating slide in the band, case stamped EP and numbered, dial signed
49 mm. diam.

Lot Essay

Concluding from its high quality and layout, the ébauche of the present watch was most probably made by a renowned Swiss manufacturer such as Louis Audemars.

Klaftenberger or Aubert & Klaftenberger, were retailer of high quality watches, clocks and jewellery, based in Geneva and London at the end of the 19th century.
