Unsigned, case stamped AS for Alfred Strahm and with London date letter for 1878
With three quarter plate gilt-finished jewelled movement, Earnshaw-type spring detent escapement, Guillaume balance with gold poising screws, blued steel helical spring with diamond endstone, free sprung regulator, gold cuvette, the white enamel dial with Roman numerals, blued steel spade hands, two subsidiary dials indicating up and down indicator and constant seconds, in plain circular case, case stamped with casemaker's initials AS for Alfred Strahm and London date letter for 1878, movement bearing the engraved inscription 16 August 1925 Donald S. Lark
