Accompanied by Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch in 1956 and its subsequent sale on 30 August 1956. Furthermore delivered with Patek Philippe invoice dated 16 October 2003 amounting to SFr. 2,085 for a servicing.
Reference 1593 is one of Patek Philippe's best designs ever given to a rectangular wristwatch. For over 20 years, this model was available in gold, only few examples were made in pink gold.
The present watch fitted with an extremely unusual and attractive engine-turned pink diamond-set dial is a most elegant example of this reference, very much representing the classy French style of the 1950s. The pink gold brick-link bracelet was doubtlessly added by Patek Philippe's retailer J. Guillermin in Paris and rounds off the elegant appearance of this watch. It is furthermore in excellent overall condition as it has not been used since its overhaul in the workshops of Patek Philippe in Geneva in 2003.
