Accompanied by Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with silvered dial and applied gold numerals in 1934 and its subsequent sale on 7 June 1937.
This watch is thought to be the only example of reference 503 to appear in public to date. Certainly one of Patek Philippe's most exclusive and typical Art Deco period designs, it stands out by its unusual case set up, combining two different forms, an oblong or horizontal with a rectangular curved shape. The aesthetic aspect is further enhanced by the crown positioned to 6 o'clock, elegantly incorporated into the lower lug.
