Accompanied by Breguet Certificate dated 20 June 2002 confirming the sale of the present watch to Monsieur Beltrami on 23 December 1939 for the amount of 3,200 Francs.
Until the introduction of the better known and today again revived Type XX, originally mostly reserved for the French armed forces, chronograph wristwatches by Breguet made before World War II are considered much rarer than those from the others prestigious manufacturers, such as Audemars Piguet, Patek Philippe or Vacheron Constantin. Even Cartier, known to have finished only very small quantities of chronograph wristwatches at that time, has probably exceeded Breguet's production.
The present watch distinguishes itself by the most attractive, Art Deco style black dial and the copper-coloured numerals and scales, beautifully aged over the years.
