Lot Essay

The celebrated Cosmic model was introduced into the market in 1947, was Omega's first watch featuring a full calendar combined with phases of the moon and at the time one of the smallest full calendar wristwatches. It was mainly available with 14K or 18K yellow or pink gold cases and fitted with various dial versions.

The model is described and illustrated in Omega Saga by Marco Richon, p. 244 and in Omega Watches by John Goldberger, p. 61.
