Lot Essay

The present watch is number 221 of a limited edition of 500 examples in white gold made to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the first man to walk on the moon during the Apollo XI mission. Neil Armstrong wore on his wrist a "Speedmaster" watch during his famous exploration of the moon's surface on 21 July 1969.

The model is fitted with calibre 864, the chronometer version of calibre 863, launched in 1992.
