Lot Essay

Accompanied by Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch in 1991 and its subsequent sale on 27 November 1992. Furthermore delivered with Patek Philippe presentation box with electrical winding facility and outer packaging.

Manufacture of reference 3974 was launched in 1989 to celebrate the firm's 150th anniversary, the movement of the first model was numbered 1'906'000. Mostly made in yellow gold, it is not in production anymore.
The ingenious calibre R 27 Q impresses not only by its remarkable number of 467 parts but also by Patek Philippe's masterly performance of combining a micro-rotor, minute repeating and perpetual calendar mechanisms in a proportionally small 12 1/2''' movement.
