Accompanied by Uhren & Kunstgalerie Harald Schade Certificate dated 2 July 1982.
The present watch is part of a series of only 150 examples made by the renowned watch expert and watchmaker Harald Schade in the early 1980s. Its rarity is enhanced by the movement, one of the few still existing automatic chronograph movements signed "Zenith Movado".
In a race to develop the first self-winding chronograph wristwatch, Zenith and Movado joined forces and founded in 1969 the "Mondia-Zenith-Movado" holding. The watch presented was at the time considered the most advanced wristwatch featuring a thin automatic movement with date display, 30 minute and 12 hour registers, constant seconds and tachometer and became an immediate success: the famous "El Primero".
