A FINE PAIR OF 12-BORE ROUND-ACTION TRIGGER-PLATE EJECTOR GUNS BY JOHN DICKSON & SONS, NO. 7306/7
Action patent use-numbers No. 1768 and No. 1769, fine rose and acanthus leaf scroll engraving, retaining some original colour hardening, gold inlaid 'safe', gold inlaid numbering '1' to top-lever, forend-tip and game rib, numbering '2' to top-lever and forend only, gold inlaid 'Dickson's Patent' to action-base, No. 1 with chopper-lump barrels of Vicker's steel, game rib engraved with '32 Hanover Street', and third- bite extension, No. 2 gun with replacement barrels by the Maker, engraved '21 Frederick Street', again with third-bite extension.
