Fine rose and scroll engraving, retaining virtually all original colour hardening, light scroll engraved side-levers, gold inlaid 'safe', gold inlaid numbering '1' and '2' to top-straps, forends and game ribs, gold inlaid cocking-indicators, rolled-edge trigger guards, highly figured stocks with chequered grips, chopper-lump barrels of Whitworth steel with Maker's details to rib. The later interchangeable 12-bore barrels by the Maker with gold inlaid '1' and '2'

Lot Essay

The Makers kindly confirm that the guns were completed in 1926. Although the later 12-bore barrels were built by the Makers, they cannot confirm the date of manufacture.
