A FIVE-PIECE SILVER TEA AND COFFEE SERVICE
Germany, circa 1900

Comprising a teapot, a coffee pot, a covered sugar basin, and a milk jug, each raised on four moulded scroll and foliate feet, terminating at the body with ribbons and swags, the circular bodies decorated to the centre with a band of hanging foliage and stylised ornament below a waisted neck raised with ribbon-tied laurel swags and wreaths, the upper rims decorated with a flower-filled guilloche band, the first two with conforming spouts and S-scroll handles and with domed covers, and a shaped oblong two-handled tray ensuite - the coffee pot 28cm high (3866gr) (5)
