Seven Silesian engraved goblets
1740-1760
Comprising a set of three of Schwarze Adlerorden significance, with trumpet bowls, with the monogram FRW surmounted by a crown, the reverse with a sunburst enclosing a bird in light and the motto NON SOLI CEDIT, the rim cut with ovolos, the four-sided stem with an elongated tear, folded conical foot, 16.5 cm. high; and a set of four with bands of trellis and triangles at the rim, the lower part with arches, on four-sided stems, 13.4 cm. high (7)

The monogram FWR for Fredericus Wilhelmus Rex, king of Prussia (1688-1740).
The order of the Schwarze Adlerorden was founded on the first day of king Frederick III's reign in 1701, and was reserved to thirty members of the high nobility only.
