The 'friendship' vase of cylindrical form, engraved with a crowned heart flanked by two doves perched upon larger hearts, the reverse with men walking upon or fishing below a bridge (some chipping to the rim), 9 cm. high, the second a joke glass inscribed trink mich aus und leg mich nieder steh ich auf füll mich wieder 'empty me and lay me down etc.' 7.3 cm. high, and a mug of tapering form inscribed and dated Für meinen Carl., Carlsbad 1830, 8.5 cm. high (3)
