Lot Essay

Taking a tranquil prospect of a lake, with red-roofed houses and blue hills, framed by olive green trees, Swanzy creates a dynamic Cubist composition, dividing the landscape into diamonds, arcs and spirals to evoke a harmony of greens, blues and pinks, and to suggest a sense of energy, transparency and fragmentation.
