'A more voluptuous and catlike model was TANYA, a girl of Belgian and Russian parents, of whom the sculptor made a curl-crowned portrait, which might illustrate T. S. Eliot's lines about Grishkin: 'Uncorseted, her friendly bust gives promise of pneumatic bliss (R. Buckle, Jacob Epstein Sculptor, London, 1963, p. 337).
