The 'S'-shaped back splats delicately carved with a scrolling bracket design, the curving toprail supported on the round-section back posts and tapered serpentine side posts, the horseshoe terminating in rounded outward hooks, the soft mat seat on rounded legs joined by a plain apron and a stepped stretcher frame above the feet (2)
