'CHIMPANZE A LA STATUE BAOULE', AN ETCHING ON VELLUM BY PAUL JOUVE, CIRCA 1912
Very few etchings of this model (three or four) have been printed on vellum due to the cost of vellum of this size. This work was the model for a smaller one, etched in 1931 for the album 'Paul Jouve'.
Another etching on vellum of this size is part of the collections of the 'Musee d'Art et d'Industrie La Piscine' in Roubaix, North of France (n.2001-1-2)

Cette eau-forte servira de modèle et sera reprise dans une taille réduite dans l'album Paul Jouve édité par Apollo en 1931. Compte-tenu du coût lié à la taille importante de l'épreuve, quelques très rares exemplaires ont été réalisés sur parchemin et sur basane
Le Musée d'Art et d'Industrie La Piscine, à Roubaix, possède un exemplaire de cette eau forte sur parchemin dans ses collections, sous le numéro 2001-1-2
