Elève puis collaborateur d'Eugène Rousseau entre 1886 et 1890, Ernest Leveillé reçoit une médaille d'or à l'Exposition Universelle de Paris en 1889, pour ses "verres craquelés, oxydations polychromes et décors gravés à l'acide et à la meule". Il collabore également avec Eugène Michel
