A DEMAND FOR BACK RENT, PAYABLE IN TOBACCO. "Madam, Please to pay without delay to Jnn. Lee Pitman the Under Sheriff Nine Hundred and thirty two pounds of Crop Tobacco the same being the balance due to me for Rent of the last year from your late Husband's Estate...." On verso is in autograph note Lee Pitman, Deputy Sheriff recording the widow Hull's partial payment of 721 pounds tobacco. Lee in turn notes that there are 211 pounds still "due on this order."
