Lot Essay

The Glasgow International Exhibition of 1901 was a showcase for the great advances that had been made during the 19th Century, in the fields of science, art and industry. The Exhibition was held in the Art Gallery and Museum in Kelvingrove Park, a building which had been funded by the profits of a previous great exhibition, held in Glasgow in 1888.
