Château Cheval-Blanc--Vintage 1982
Saint-Emilion, 1er grand cru classé (A)
Very good appearance. Levels: lot 452 base of neck; lot 453: eleven base of neck and one top-shoulder
Tasting Note: Worth mentioning the curious cépage mix: Cabernet Franc 60 Merlot 34 Cabernet Sauvignon only 1 but Malbec 5 Interesting on the palate: sweet, elegant, stylish….By now showing considerable maturity with an orange edge and 'legs' as impressive as the arch of Durham Cathedral; rich, bricky bouquet; well evolved with extract but with a slightly bitter tannic-iron finish. Lovely flavour. Nov 1999 ****(*) Good life ahead M.B.
