Lot 679: Good appearance. Three with slight signs of seepage and six slightly raised corks. Slightly corroded capsules. Levels: three just below top, seven upper and one mid/upper shoulder. Lot 680: Good appearance. Slightly corroded capsules. Levels: top-shoulder or better
Tasting Note: A deep, rich, fleshy and impressive mouthful from my first encounter on its tenth birthday - and since. How I managed to conduct, to moderate, 118 '75s at a one-day event in Malmo (in 1995) I do not know. All I do know is that I awarded the top three marks to Ch Petrus, La Fleur and Mouton. The same year I was equally impressed: thick, velvety, full of fruit, chewy - you name it. ***** M.B.
